Webster County Released Inmate Records
A Webster County release is tied to one custodian. At the Webster County Detention Facility, it means the sheriff no longer holds the person on that booking. The next stop may be home after bond, dismissal, a court order, time served, or completion of a Webster County sentence. It may instead be the Missouri Department of Corrections, another jail, the U.S. Marshals Service, or immigration custody. That last group has left Webster County custody but has not left confinement. The Webster County release record and the receiving agency must be read together.
Ozark Correctional Center creates a separate Webster County release path. It is a state prison in Webster County, not part of the county jail. A person who leaves that institution may transfer within DOC, enter the community on parole or conditional release, or reach final discharge. Parole means prison confinement ended while DOC legal custody and field supervision continue. Final discharge ends the active DOC relationship. These Webster County distinctions determine whether the right source is the sheriff, Case.net, the active DOC search, a historical DOC record, or a federal system.
Webster County Release Types Explained
In Webster County, the same release word can describe very different events. Bond ends jail confinement on that booking while the criminal case and bond terms continue. Time served or county-sentence completion ends a Webster County confinement term, though probation or another hold may follow. A transfer ends the first agency's custody only. The Webster County sending record should be paired with the receiving record before describing the person as back in the community.
| Release event | What it means | Best confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| Bond or court order | County jail custody may end while the case continues. | Sheriff release record and Case.net docket |
| Time served | The county confinement term ends, subject to other holds. | Sheriff record and judgment |
| DOC transfer | Sheriff custody ends, but state incarceration begins. | Sheriff destination and DOC active intake |
| Parole or conditional release | Prison confinement ends under DOC field supervision. | DOC active record and assigned officer |
| Final discharge | DOC custody and supervision end. | DOC historical data or certified response |
| Federal or ICE handoff | One custodian releases the person to another. | Sending and receiving agency records |
Does a dismissal prove the person walked out? No. A dismissal can remove authority under one case, but another warrant, detainer, charge, or transfer may still control custody. Confirm the physical exit with the jail.
Webster County Release Record Fields
Webster County does not publish a field specification for its internal jail system. The fields below are precise Webster County release request targets, not a promise that each field exists or is open. Ask the sheriff to explain any local release or disposition code. A Webster County court entry can show the legal event behind an exit, but it may not show the exact time the jail completed processing.
| Requested field | What it can show |
|---|---|
| Full name and booking identifier | The specific custody episode and separation from same-name records |
| Admission date and time | When the jail booking began, which may differ from arrest time |
| Release date and time | When sheriff custody ended on that booking |
| Release or disposition description | Bond, time served, court order, sentence completion, or transfer |
| Destination or receiving agency | Whether the person entered the community or another agency's custody |
| Charge or case number | The link between the booking and the court docket |
| Booking photograph | The image tied to that admission, if maintained and releasable |
No official online retention window was found for Webster County jail release data. Missouri DOC's historical data can reach back as early as 1974, but DOC warns that its bulk file may be incomplete, inaccurate, not current, or partly based on self-reported information.
Request Webster County Release Records
The sheriff's linked Records Information Request form asks for report and person details, the requester's contact information, a signature, and mail-or-pickup choice. Identification may be required. The form says completion does not guarantee access and that a denial reason can be supplied if requested. For a Webster County release record, describe the record instead of forcing it into an incident-report label.
- Identify the person by full name, known booking or case number, and a narrow admission and release date range.
- Ask for the booking record, release date and time, disposition description, and receiving agency if a transfer field is open.
- Request the booking photograph separately if it is needed, because Missouri law does not expressly classify every booking photo as part of an arrest report.
- Ask for an itemized estimate before costs exceed a stated limit and request the expected completion date.
- Keep a copy. If material is withheld, ask for the statute supporting the decision and all segregable open portions.
The sheriff FAQ says a releasable report is usually ready for pickup within five business days and lists $5 per report copy. Those terms concern reports in general. They do not establish the price or timing for a jail release record or photo, so confirm both with Tiffany Knight at 417-859-2247. Records questions are handled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Note: Ask for a fee estimate and production date because the sheriff's general report terms may not fit a release extract.

Missouri Laws for Webster Release Records
Missouri's Sunshine Law controls the request process, not a blanket right to every jail field. Section 610.023 calls for action as soon as possible and no later than the end of the third business day. That is a response deadline, not always the production date. A longer delay for reasonable cause must come with a detailed explanation and the earliest production date.
Section 610.026 sets ordinary paper-copy and staff-time rules. It permits ten cents per page for paper no larger than 9 by 14 inches, plus clerical duplication time. Pictures, electronic work, media, programming, and special duplication may carry actual costs, and prepayment may be required. Section 610.100 generally opens arrest and incident reports but closes an uncharged arrest report after 30 days except for disposition information.
Juvenile material, sealed or expunged cases, medical information, protected party data, victim or witness identifiers, and security-sensitive details may be closed or redacted. A narrow Webster County release request for open portions works better than assuming an entire file must be public.
Webster County Release Times and Pickup
No official source gives a routine discharge time, exit door, weekend or holiday schedule, family waiting area, or gate-money policy at the Webster County Detention Facility. Call 417-859-2247 and press 2 before arranging pickup. The jail's published 24-hour property-pickup rule applies when an incarcerated person authorizes someone else to collect property. It does not prove that people are discharged around the clock.
The official Webster County jail page shows the facility information and the absence of a public release link.
The page supports direct jail confirmation and a records request as the local release path. It should not be read as an online roster.
Note: A stated pickup time from family or a court event may change if processing, a warrant, or a receiving agency intervenes.
Getting Home After Webster County Release
No official source documents an automatic discharge ride from the justice center. OATS Transit serves Webster County and offers rural accessible transportation, but its service requires advance scheduling and advance-funded fares. That makes it an option to investigate before an expected release, not an on-demand jail pickup promise. The rider or family should confirm eligibility, the pickup point, timing, and fare directly.
The official OATS Transit schedules provide the current route-planning starting point.
The schedule is useful only when arranged ahead. It does not document a jail discharge service.
Webster County Public Release Feed Gap
As of July 27, 2026, the sheriff's navigation, sitemap, jail page, and other public pages exposed no current roster, inmate lookup, booking feed, 24-hour release list, or 72-hour release list. There is no official Webster County release cadence, rolling window, photo behavior, or retention period to report. This is a Webster County public-website finding, not a claim about the sheriff's internal jail records.
For a same-day or three-day window, define exact start and end times. Call the jail first. If a list cannot be given by phone, ask the records custodian to search that window and include the release description and receiving agency if open. A broad list may take more staff time than a named-person request, so seek a cost estimate. The sheriff press archive is selective arrest news, not a release ledger.
Property After a Webster County Release
The jail publishes one precise property procedure. While a person remains incarcerated, that person may complete a property-release form, name someone to receive the property, and arrange pickup. The recipient must bring photo identification. Pickup is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is third-party property release during custody, not the full discharge-property process.
The same Webster County jail page says hard copies of scanned postcards are held and given to the inmate upon release. It does not describe how clothing, money, identification, medication, or other stored items are returned at discharge. Ask the jail what identification the released person will receive, what must be signed, and when any remaining property can be collected. Do not infer a complete Webster County release policy from the two published details.
Webster County Court Release Records
Missouri Case.net can preserve the court side of a short jail event after custody data is no longer visible. Search by litigant, filing date, case number, or hearing. Review the charges, docket, judgment, sentence, bond action, probation order, dismissal, warrants, and public documents. A court order explains why release may occur, but only the jail can confirm when the order was processed and whether another hold blocked a community exit.
The Webster County Circuit Clerk page separates criminal, probate, and traffic questions from domestic and civil matters.
Criminal, probate, and traffic inquiries use 417-859-2041. A case number can help when a name search misses a protected party or a person not indexed as a litigant.
Some Webster County release documents unavailable remotely may be viewed on a courthouse public terminal after court staff logs in the public user. The clerk's office is at 101 S. Crittenden Street, Room 22, Marshfield. Confirm hours before travel.
Expunged Webster County Release Records
Missouri section 610.140 provides the main expungement framework. General hearing timing is three years after completion of a felony disposition and one year after a misdemeanor, municipal offense, or infraction, subject to eligibility and other conditions. An uncharged-arrest petition generally cannot be filed before 18 months. Many offenses are excluded, including Class A felonies, dangerous felonies, registrable sex offenses, and other listed cases.
An order tells named record holders to close affected Webster County records and makes the court file confidential. That can explain why a formerly visible Webster County court or arrest record no longer appears. A no-result search does not prove the event never happened. It is also unsafe to promise that every copy held outside the named agencies disappears.
Regional help listed by the Missouri State Public Defender included Legal Services of Southern Missouri in Springfield and a Springfield Clean Slate Clinic. The resource list was revised in April 2024, so current services and dates should be checked directly.
Note: Expungement closes records held by named agencies, but it does not prove that every secondary copy has disappeared.
Find Webster County Released Inmates
Start a Webster County released inmate search with the last confirmed custodian and a strong identifier. A full name may produce several matches. A booking number, Webster County court case number, DOC ID, federal register number, or date of birth used only when needed can separate records. Keep private identifiers out of public notes and screenshots.
- For a Webster County jail event, check Case.net for the court action, then call the jail at 417-859-2247 and press 2 for the processed custody event.
- Request the sheriff's written booking and release record when an exact time, reason, or transfer destination is needed.
- Use MOVANS for an identified local jail or DOC person and register for current SMS or email notices.
- If the person entered Missouri DOC, use the active offender search. If final discharge may have occurred, move to the historical Sunshine data or a DOC request.
- Use BOP for a sentenced federal person, ICE for current immigration custody, and the federal docket or holding facility for federal pretrial custody.
Why is a released person missing from the roster? A live jail roster, where one exists, tracks current custody rather than serving as a release archive. Webster County does not publish even that public roster, so direct verification matters from the start.
Missouri DOC Search for Webster Releases
The Missouri DOC Offender Web Search covers active offenders, including people on probation or parole. It explicitly excludes discharged offenders. Enter first and last name; aliases are included. Compare the result carefully, note the data timestamp, and distinguish an institution assignment from a field-supervision status.
The active-only warning explains why a person released from prison on parole may appear while a person with final DOC discharge does not.
| Search or record field | How to use it | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| First and last name | Starts the public active search; aliases are included. | Same-name matches need more checks. |
| DOC ID | Links active and historical rows for one DOC identity. | One person may have several charge rows. |
| Assigned place | Separates an institution from a field assignment. | A transfer is not release. |
| Completed flag | Supports historical sentence interpretation. | It is not a certified gate-release time. |
| Sentence-I Minimum Release Date | Shows a calculated minimum on an active sentence. | It is not proof of actual release. |
| Sentence Maximum Release Date | Shows the maximum release or expiration day. | It may not be the actual departure date. |
Probation is court-ordered community supervision and does not prove prior state-prison release. Parole or conditional release means the Webster County prison gate event occurred while active DOC control continues. An absence in this Webster County release search can mean final discharge, a name mismatch, data lag, or no DOC history.
Webster County Discharged Offender Search Gap
Missouri's active-search design is the reverse of what many released-person searches need. Fully discharged people are left out. The official fallback is the DOC Sunshine data, which covers people who are or have been under DOC supervision and can include information as early as 1974. Search the nightly FAK930 file with the DOC ID, name, and court or cause identifiers, then use the official field definitions.
The DOC Sunshine Law and data page explains the historical access route and the records contacts.
Historical rows are leads, not certified release certificates. Multiple charge rows, calculated dates, special values, and DOC's accuracy warnings require cautious interpretation.
For an authoritative Webster County release record, email the DOC Sunshine office with the full name, DOC ID, relevant institution, approximate dates, and exact release or discharge record sought. Parole Board orders use the Board's separate Sunshine request route.
Note: The active search omits discharged offenders, so historical data and a DOC request form the official fallback.
Webster County MOVANS Release Alerts
MOVANS, the Missouri Victim Automated Notification System, covers local jail and detention offenders, Missouri DOC offenders, and Missouri court events. Search one identified person, compare matches, open the relevant custody event, and register by SMS text or email. If a Webster County jail search returns nothing, DPS says the jail may be offline. Contact MOVANS support and the jail rather than treating the miss as release.
Missouri changed the service in May 2026. Local jail users had to create a new registration. Phone calls, the former four-digit PIN workflow, and VINELink app notifications ended. Current pages and portal prompts control, not older brochures. A MOVANS notice reports an event from the source custodian, but a transfer alert does not prove freedom from every agency.
- Parole
- Release from prison under Board authority while DOC custody and field supervision continue.
- Probation
- Court-ordered community supervision that does not itself prove a prison release.
- Conditional release
- A conditional prison discharge followed by Probation and Parole supervision.
- Final discharge
- The end of DOC custody and supervision, which removes the person from the active offender search.
- Detainer
- A request or hold that can cause one agency's release to become a transfer to another custodian.
Webster County Federal and ICE Releases
The BOP Inmate Locator is the right national channel for a sentenced federal person. Search by federal number or name. A past release date with no facility, or a location of “RELEASED,” means the person is no longer in BOP custody. A future date is projected and may change. That result does not rule out federal supervision, state custody, ICE custody, or another system.
The BOP fields cover people released after 1982 and update daily. Older federal records route to the National Archives.
No federal prison or ICE detention facility was found in Webster County. ICE's Springfield check-in office serves the county, but it is an administrative reporting site, not a jail. An ICE detainer can turn a county jail exit into a custody handoff. No source established a Webster County ICE contract, so that route must be verified rather than treated as routine.
The ICE locator checks current ICE custody or CBP custody lasting more than 48 hours. It is not a released-person archive. Federal pretrial prisoners remain under U.S. Marshals control and may be housed in contracted facilities, so the federal docket and actual holding facility are the better release trail.
Note: A BOP or ICE no-result response cannot prove community release because each system answers only for its own custody.
Ozark Correctional Center Release Paths
Ozark Correctional Center is a minimum-security Missouri DOC institution at Fordland. It is not a Webster County jail. A move to another DOC institution is a transfer. Community departure may be parole or conditional release, while sentence expiration can lead to final discharge. Use the active search for an ongoing DOC relationship and the historical data or a records request after final discharge.
The official OCC history records a distinctive local past. The 65.4-acre, 57-building property began as an Air Force base built in January 1951. The Air Force used it until 1961, and it reopened as a correctional center in January 1963. That history also underscores its state identity. County sheriff records do not control OCC release or discharge.
Webster County Release Systems Compared
Choose the system by custody type and question. A current-custody tool cannot substitute for a historical release record, and a court order cannot substitute for the custodian's processed exit. The table shows what each Webster County release channel can and cannot prove.
| System | Best use | What it cannot prove alone |
|---|---|---|
| Sheriff phone and release record | County jail exit time, reason, and possible destination | Later status under a receiving agency |
| Case.net | Bond, dismissal, sentence, probation, warrant, or order | The exact jail processing time |
| DOC active search | State prison assignment, parole, probation, or other active status | Final discharge history |
| DOC historical data | Past DOC relationship and calculated sentence fields | A certified gate-release time without agency confirmation |
| MOVANS | Custody or court event notices for an identified person | Freedom from every possible custodian |
| BOP or ICE locator | Federal release status or current immigration custody | County jail history or all later custody |
Note: The Missouri Sex Offender Registry is a narrow post-release source for people with a legal registration duty, not a general inmate lookup.
Webster County Release Facilities
Two facilities form the local custody map. The Webster County Detention Facility is the sheriff-operated countywide booking jail. A person may return to the community or transfer to another custodian. Ozark Correctional Center is a Missouri DOC prison whose departures include DOC transfers, parole, conditional release, and final discharge. The county sheriff confirms the first facility's release; Missouri DOC confirms the second.
- Webster County Detention Facility: 221 N. Crittenden, Marshfield; jail line 417-859-2247, press 2.
- Ozark Correctional Center: 929 Honor Camp Lane, Fordland; main line 417-767-4491.
- No mapped local federal or ICE jail: use the relevant national or receiving-agency system when a transfer is reported.
